Professor of Entrepreneurship, Glasgow Caledonian University
Originally trained as a biomedical researcher, Professor Bower developed an interest in the transfer of biotechnology and its commercialisation in both small and large firms. She set up the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Aberdeen where she designed undergraduate and postgraduate courses in entrepreneurship. Professor Bower subsequently directed a project management consultancy with responsibility for a range of projects including designing and raising finance for an oilfield technology venture capital fund, rolled out in 1999 as the Nova Fund.
